Year 11 - Standard Maths

Course Description

This course helps to prepare students for their final year 11 examinations which most frequently take place at the end of term 3. It focuses not just on course content but also study skills and examination techniques.

To begin, the focus is on algebra, formula and equations which are essential knowledge for success in this course and are intertwined with all other topics. Following this, the focus switches to financial mathematics which is often one of the most misunderstood topics throughout the preliminary year before moving on to study skills and examination technique. This will set students up for success in their final exams.

The course will then focus on probability and statistics before finishing with two sessions on preliminary exam preparation.
